Y Hub Children Camp

The camp date is fast approaching, 24 days left to be precise. The stress & tension are also piling on me; suffocating, taxing. Actualie organising a camp is not Greek to me, ive planned a few before, but with a committee though. My challenge now is that i have to be the one to : promote the camp to the kids, plan the programmes, do the camp booklet, look for sponsors, look for volunteers & laise with individuals. Something new though as it is definitely super multi-tasked. Well, im still Ngiap Hui only. Not Ngiap Huis. But its the nature of my role in Y Hub. Im the only staff wat.

I bet my life that i have definitely grew to become a better letter writer. Hey, ive written more than 60 letters so far to Organisations, companies & individuals these 6 mths. I initially thought i juz had to supervise the operations of Y Hub! Well its definitely more than juz that. As usual, Cassandra pissed mi off 2dae, many times. To think tat she even thought of being the midwife for "White Princess", the pregnant cat Y hub adopted, 2dae. She took one plate, filled it up with warm water, took some toilet paper & forced the poor cat to give birth. My goodness, where the hell she got her "license" from?

These 2 weeks, i had written sponsorship letters to about 25 companies & bodies to fund the camp. We still lack of $1500 ya. When i opened the letter box, i saw a letter addressed to mi, & 2 addressed to my manager. Singapore Pools finalie replied! I was like anticipating a positive reply from them, but to my utter disappointment, they claimed that they are unable to fund our camp. A 2nd rejection letter from them to my letters. I wonder why cant Y hub qualify from a funding from them, when they boldly claimed that it is "towards community". Sometimes i realie question myself about all these so call welfare organisations. Who & what then qualify for a nodding from them?

As i was feeling despondent, my manager gave mi a piece of good news. I looked @ e 2 cheques addressed to him. My my. 2 kind hearted souls heard our plead & donated $600 to us. Of course i was surprised, I myself wont even make such a generous donation! As i looked @ the letter i got & e 2 cheques Y Hub received from someone we didnt write to, i cant help but smile. "U dun help us, others still will. We will survive, against all odds".
