Happy Korean Day

I was asked 2 lead a grp of 30 Korean Students on wed, 20th April. For tat, i had planned e dayz program for 2 weeks, hoping to give the Koreans their best day under my charge.I even lost my sleep e nite b4 coz e next dayz program was on my mind all nite. I even got up 2 pen down new ideas in attempt 2 make e day more interesting.

Took a cab down 2 YMCA, was e 1st 2 reach tere. Eventually when e Koreans got down 1 by 1, i tried 2 break ice with them. I was told of their realie poor english so i tried my best 2 convey my messages across as clearly & slowly as possible.I felt like i was speaking Mandarin to 20 Clarences, damn tiring, but i cant blame them. Tats y they r here in Spore for, 2 improve their english.

As a facilitator, i cant realie interract much with e koreans or volunteers likewise, becoz i had 2 concentrate on e program flow & details. Tats y sometimes i feel rather happier 2 be a volunteer than an organiser.We went to science centre, but for some reason, e omnimax movie was cancelled, tat disappointed mi.Then went 2 Y hub my workplace in e noon, thought they felt it was boring coz when we were performing for them, some of them were either sleeping or left e room midway.Quite inappreciative rite?

The worst part of e day was @ Jurong Birdpark. Initially we were all supposed 2 go Crocodile farm, but as e Koreans wasnt make known tat they had 2 pay, there were some who had a change of mind.Weird, i gave them e option of either 1 place a week ago, & they chose Croc farm, yet on e day then they tell mi they want Birdy park. 4pm, pay $14 & see no show, no shops open & no pretty gals.WTH, waste my $ leh. We had half e grp following mi 2 e Birdy park initially, then slowly in 3s & 4s, e Croc ppl came over. As we can get a lower price if we go in as a grp of 30, it took mi 20mins 2 confirm e ppl. haiz, i had neva organised such a lousy & inefficient outing in my life b4.

On e way back 2 YMCA, 80% of e Koreans were sleeping, while i finallie had e chance 2 chat with e volunteers becoz my duty as a facilitator was over once we left Birdy park. They were interesting ppl 2, looking 4ward 2 working with them again.Farewell dinner 2moro, gotta noe more gals then, haha.
