Wat a great day, i luv Hongkong!

I expected e day to be rather monotonous, & nothing special in particular, since i will be paid to lead a group of Hongkong kids to tour in Sentosa. & tat im an idiot who cant differentiate Cantonese from Hokkien or Teochew. I didnt expect 2 make any friends with e kids or e tour leaders. Juz work, i would say.

As predicted, e 1st half of e day was boring, i didnt interact wif them @ all, coz we cant understand each other realie. @ times i was even wondering if they were mocking @ mi, how sensitive i was. Then the dae's tour ended & we proceeded back 2 e chalet 2 have our BBQ & closing ceremony.

Their performances were, some way not boring, quite creative in fact. Then i slowly started 2 open up myself, & then it was some sing-along session tat i gelled wif them. It was merely 1 hr, but by e time it was for mi 2 leave, i was feeling sad & unwilling, coz i realised how fun they were 2 be with. They even tried 2 send us out of e chalet, though it was harder 4 them 2 go back themselves instead! They are sweeter than Spore kids!

Tat was not e end of my dae, i accompanied 1 sporean guy friend, along with e 3 Hongkong Tour leaders to Lau Pat Sa for some food tasting. My my, tis guy was so generous tat he spent almost $30 in all to treat these Hongkong friends, i merely spent $8, haha. Perhaps he like one of e ladies??? I reached home @ 3am, & b4 i slept, i gave thanx 2 e great dae i had. Long time since i was tis happy into sleeping.

The next dae, i had already decided 2 send them off @ e airport, felt a little sour.So in e office tat morning, i had a strong urge 2 give them something as a momento, something inexpensive yet meaningful. Then with wateva resources i had, i did a laminated name card, drawn with my special font. A pity tat i had left one of the girls' name out, coz i realised i left it on my table in e office. How sad she was, & how guilty i was. Jermaine & Manie hugged & cried, affecting other kids who broke down oso. The boys whom we thought were stronger, weeped oso as they entered e gate, waving their longing goodbyes to us. I almost cried.

A pity i didnt have e chance 2 be wif them for more daes, for im sure we will have even greater fun. Im going Hongkong next yr, for the tour leaders offered 2 host us.

National Day Celebration

Was happy & glad to see Chang, Clare, Jere, Jiawen & Vanessa join in the National Day Relay Run with me. I really didnt expect them 2 be willing 2 run this relay, coz not many ppl are willing 2 travel from the West or South to the North, juz 2 run 2km. Thanx guys for giving face when i asked u all 2 join.

Clare, though i beat u AGAIN in 100m, one day u will sure win mi one: When i break my left leg, :p

So guys, keen for the 168km relay run? "Im from Tanjong Pagar Zone, but im running for Bishan Constituent!" "We are not from Bishan, but we support them! Yeah! We wanna win e race for them!" Sounds weird rite?

After tat run, which we discovered we were actualie e supporting runners, coz there were 10 others who were 2 run 2 Padang, i left e grp & joined my friends in town. Initially we wanted 2 watch e fireworks after playing pool, but we were 2 engrossed in e game, we watched e fireworks @ e pool centre instead. After e gd game, which i had my revenge, we went supper. Such are such simplicity that i had lost e feeling of, tat i could hardly remember when was e last time i had a gathering in a grp like this, engaging in simple yet fun stuff.

No no, im not forgetting my old friends, juz tat i do wish 2 have other friends who can share with mi other things. Life's a challenge in Y Hub everdae, so with friends as my supporting pillars, i can move on stronger, longer.

Kudos to X5, Jiawen & Van e Man.
